Movin' on!

So, I've had several people ask me if I'm still doing Hip Hop Abs because I haven't talked that much about it. The easy answer (well, actually, the only answer) is yes! Well... sort of. We actually finished the month long schedule of HHA and moved on to Rockin' Body.

HHA was a lot of fun, actually, just not nearly as challenging as Insanity - so not as apt to regular updates. It certainly is an acute and powerful ab workout. It's advertised as having no crunches or situps, and it's true to that pledge. The entire program (aside from a few c-sit exercises) is entirely a standing workout. Granted, I will say this... HHA is a lot *happier* than Insanity ever was. It feels more like a dance instruction video than a hardcore workout.

The results don't lie here either, though. Waistlines are continuing to whittle and it's been nice to have the break.

Rockin' Body, on the other hand, is a bit of a different story. It's still a good workout, with many of the same principles from HHA and even a couple moves from Insanity - but we haven't liked it nearly as much. I'm not entirely sure why, just the different feel and format have caused us to be less than enthused. We actually switched back to HHA this morning after trying each of the RB workouts. My return date has already passed, but I don't imagine we'll be running to RB very often unless we desperately want something different.

We'll be starting Insanity again in early May and I am honestly SO looking forward to it. I've missed the intensity and power required to get through a workout in the morning. I've also seen how different aspects of my life have been wanting too. My energy levels have dropped and my endurance in kickboxing class has REALLY been effected. I can't wait to dive back in, push hard, and dig deeper!
